Keeping Europe competitive

The number of people in Europe graduating with degrees in mathematics, science and technology continues to decline, and this trend could have an effect on Europe’s future competitiveness and prosperity.

The European Round Table of Industrialists (ERT) continues to voice concern over the decline in the number of graduates in these fields, arguing that this issue must be tackled at a European Union level. ERT brings together many of Europe’s business leaders to come up with ways to ensure that the region stays competitive at a time when global economic power is being redistributed. It was formed to advocate policies at the national and European level which will create the conditions necessary for creating jobs and growth in Europe.
