Energy-efficient products and solutions means significant savings for our customers and at the same time reduced impact on the environment. We take environmental impact of all stages of the product lifecycle into account – from the first sketches on the drawing board, throughout its service life until it is recycled. We strive to minimize the environmental footprint from our operations. This includes the following aspects:

  • The use of natural resources
  • Water resources
  • Air emissions
  • Waste
  • The use of chemicals

Continuous improvements

Volvo Group works with continuous improvements supported by measuring and target-setting as well as considering the use of alternatives to minimize the above aspects’ environmental impacts. Measurements

Measurements

The Volvo Group has reported environmental data since 1991. The latest quantitative data is presented in the Volvo Group Annual and Sustainability Report 2016 and in the GRI (G4) Index. Volvo Group was the first automotive manufacturer to be approved by the WWF Climate Savers program with purpose to take urgent actions to combat climate change. WWF Climate Savers
