Completing the Internal Market

Internal Market

If the EU's internal market is incomplete, it could distort competition inside Europe, and hold back European companies on a global scale.

The challenge is to improve the regulatory framework through better quality rules that work to ensure market access. And we need to really complete the internal market, and speed up implementation of the 'less and better regulation' programme.

The transport sector would also benefit from non-discriminatory infrastructure charging. If the internal market becomes real, it will help Europeans become leaders in an essentially global industry - and boost European growth and employment.
