1. How did you come to join the Volvo Group?
Before joining UD Trucks, I used to work for another company and had a wish to work for bigger one. One day, I happened to know that there was one general-affairs position open at UD Trucks. After recruitment process, I was able to join UD Trucks. At that time, UD Trucks did not belong to Volvo Group. I would like to contribute to society through providing trucks and buses which support our life. I thought I would be able to develop myself in UD Trucks where various kinds of specialists, such as, R&D, manufacturing, sales and administration work together at one place.
2. Tell us about your current role and its main responsibilities.
My current role is to plan and execute training for managers and general employees. In university, I chose to study education. The passion for human development is common to school and company. I feel that it is a kind of destiny for me to have an opportunity to be in charge of human development again. I am now supporting leadership training to be introduced soon.
3. Have you had other roles and assignments in the Group? What would you like to do in the future in the Group?
In my initial stage at UD Trucks, I was in charge of general-affairs, e.g. how to purchase facilities with high quality at low cost. I also used to work as a guide of our factory tour for neighborhood students and association, which is a part of CSR. After that I was transferred to HR. New graduate recruitment, career recruitment and internal communication were my responsibility, which gave me wide experiences with many internal and external peoples. In the future I would like to plan the training which effect the company growth. Additionally I will challenge the new job and developing myself.
4. How would you describe the culture of Volvo Group? ( i.e. what do you think is distinctive about how we do things in Volvo Group ?)
As UD Trucks is the newest Brand in Volvo Group, each function has been proceeding with integration activity. I feel that respect for individual and to find new solution with colleague is a fruit of Volvo culture. Placing great value in Volvo way and having pride and passion for his/her job are the great features of Volvo. And diversity is core valued, a lot of women are active on work as a manager.
5. Why do you think someone should consider working for a Volvo Group company?
Because it is a global transportation solution company which is trusted by global customers. We can work with colleague in various country and business function and experience many kind of job in global field!
