What is your current position at Volvo Group?
My current position is as Business Controller within Volvo Truck EMEA Sales & Global Brand. My responsibilities are devoted to analysis of regional and Volvo Trucks headquarters’ selling expenses, to follow up and control results, to communicate with Regional controllers and to provide management with relevant comments. At the same time I am responsible for headcount reports and other various financial calculations. It has been a challenging experience being within Volvo Truck EMEA Sales & Global Brand during the reorganization, and it gave me the opportunity to work in environment of changes and transformation.
Why did you choose Volvo Group as an employer?
Volvo Trucks has been my first and only employer. I have been working with Volvo for almost 15 years, both in the market company and at the headquarters. For me the Volvo name means “stability” and “confidence”. Therefore I have always been proud of being employed by Volvo.
How has your career with the Volvo Group been this far?
Almost 15 years ago, I started to work as office administrator in Volvo Truck Latvia. I was still studying at the university when I moved on to work in finance department as accountant. After 5 years in accounting, I continued for 6 years as a credit controller, with successful results, especially during the tough economic crisis periods. In 2009 I was awarded as a winner of Volvo Trucks CEE Credit Controllers competition. In the beginning of 2012 I got a new challenge: to work as a Business Controller in in Volvo Truck EMEA Sales & Global Brand department of Business Control Processes. Starting with February 2013 I will move on to yet another new challenge when I start as Volvo and Renault Trucks Business Controller in Volvo Truck Latvia.
