Behind the scenes: A historical moment
On 14 April 1927, the first mass-produced Volvo car rolled off the production line at the Lundby factory in Göteborg. 85 years later, the picture that captured the birth of the Volvo brand was recreated. Here is how it was done:

About Volvo Museum
Welcome to the Volvo museum where you will follow the history of Volvo and the development from 1927 until today. The museum exhibits products from the whole Volvo range, including cars, trucks, buses, construction equipment, marine engines, aero and many more interesting Volvo products. We have 8000 m2 large exhibition area. Volvo Museum is handicap adapted. We have opened a Volvo Ocean Race / Volvo Golf Experience exhibition. In the shop you will find lots of Volvo Ocean Race Merchandise.Volvo Ocean Race Merchandise collection is now available in our shop at the Volvo Museum.

How to get to the Volvo Museum

GPS:
Volvo Museum

By bus/tram:
Take tram 5, 6 or 10 to Eketrägatan, Hisingen. Change to bus 32 towards Volvo Torslanda (via Arendal).
Bus stop: Arendal Skans.
Follow the signs to Volvo Museum, which is situated by the sea, around 100 metres from the bus stop.

By car:
From the E6, E20, 40 or 45 roads, drive towards Hisingen and then road 155 Öckerö/Torslanda. Follow the signs to Volvo Arendal and Volvo Museum.
