1. How did you come to join the Volvo Group?

After couple of years in another company, I was looking for new challenges in an international environment. Volvo group is offering these opportunities. Volvo is offering possibility to travel for people who want to as well as international assignments for volunteers. It's very good mix! Regarding company, Volvo is obvious part of leaders on each of their market with very strong image - quality and safety. I'm very proud to be part of company development with such strong values.

2. Tell us about you current role and its main responsibilities.

In my role as global R&D business controller for Volvo Compact Equipment, I'm the owner of financial support for R&D organization, interfacing with 5 different sites within multicultural environment. I'm also being finance representative in product development project team. So, I'm reporting both to finance team but also to R&D team. This position is not pure accounting role, but more than that, interfacing with lot of different people in various different positions in organization. I feel very much part of R&D organization not only finance!

3. Have you had other roles and assignments in the Group? What would you like to do in the future in the Group?

I also had chance to work on specific projects, like improvement of R&D delivery model. It was a great opportunity to expand my understanding of R&D issues within Volvo Group as well as making some recommendations based on my experience in other companies. Organization model in Volvo is enabling people to work with autonomy getting management support when it's needed. Things are changing very fast in Volvo and so lot of possibility might be offered to me in near future. I would like to continue to be involved in company development as well as moving to management position - it might in finance or around sales and marketing activities.

4. How would you describe the culture of Volvo Group? (i.e. what do you think is distinctive about how we do things in Volvo Group ?)

Volvo Construction is a mix of various cultures! Based in France, I'm working on daily basis with lot of different cultures and nationality -Korean, American, Swedish or German people. It's great experience to work with such different people. Main characteristics of Volvo Culture to my point of view are collaboration and open-minded - all ideas and opinions are considered and analyzed by team.

5. Why do you think someone should consider working for a Volvo Group company?

I think working of Volvo Group should be considered for people looking for positions in global company with international exposure. Team work and autonomy in your jobs are also key topics when working in Volvo group.
