Recruitment process

Recruitment process

The first part of the process is an online application containing a resume/cv and a cover letter. Try to describe why you are applying for the position and why you should be chosen to be a international graduate in Volvo Group. Don’t make your personal letter too long. One page is adequate.

Screening
When we have received your application, you will receive an e-mail confirmation.

If you are among the candidates selected for the next phase, you will be contacted by a local recruiter.

Meanwhile, if you want to update your resume, or if you want to apply for another position within Volvo Group, you can make the changes in your existing profile. Your username and password will remain the same.

Interview
In this phase, as a selected candidate, you will be invited to a face-to-face interview. In order to prepare yourself, you will find a lot of information about Volvo Group and the Gradute Programme on our website. Be prepared to answer the following questions: Why should we hire you? How would you describe yourself? How would you describe your career plan? Try to see the interview as a fun experience. Be yourself and don’t be afraid to tell us the areas in which you hope to improve and develop, because everybody has something to work on. Please be prepared to present two references after the interview.

Assessment
If you are one of the final candidates after the face-to-face interview, you will be invited to complete online ability tests and a personality questionnaire. This will be followed by feedback and an interview at the local HR department.

Selection
The selected candidate will be offered a permanent contract at the his/her department and a position in the Volvo Group International Graduate Programme.

Introduction
Employment starts with a local introduction at the home department, followed by the first common week within the programme.
