Volvo Group Graduate Program 2007
2. Why were you interested in participating in a Volvo Group Graduate Program?
It appealed to me because I thought it would give me a good insight into and a holistic view of the Volvo Group and its business, combined with training session with other Volvo group graduates and a challenging job position.
3. Tell us something about your experience in the program -- what did you like about it? Anything you didn't like?
My favorite part of the program is my graduate colleagues. Together we create a strong network across all Volvo Group companies and thanks to our positions across the group we have the opportunity to learn from each others experiences in the various companies. At the same time, I've had the pleasure to get new good friends!
The training sessions and visits to all our Volvo Group companies is also an experience I value, because it has given me and my graduate colleagues good insights into the Volvo Group business. I am also looking forward to my overseas internship in Japan, which I hope will be one of my best experiences with the program. Something which I think can be improved with the program is the follow up process. I think it would be valuable for the Volvo Group to assess what former graduates are working with today, to evaluate the success of the Volvo Group Graduate Program as a long term competence investment for the Group.
4. How would you describe the culture of Volvo Group?( i.e. what do you think is distinctive about how we do things in Volvo Group ?)
My impression is that we work in an open business climate and continuously work with our values; energy, passion, and respect for the individual.
5. Based on your own experience, why do you think someone should consider working for a Volvo Group company?
Working for the Volvo Group gives you great opportunities to work with anything from construction and design, to sales and aftermarket, in a global business context. I think this can give anyone endless possibilities for a challenging and rewarding job.
