Volvo and Columbia University arrange an international environmental conference together.

Volvo Trucks has initiated the deliveries of 230 heavy trucks to Hungary's largest transport company, Hungarocamion. The 230 trucks, of model FH12, form the remaining part of an order of in total 500 heavy, fully equipped trucks. The order, signed in the autumn of 1998, also includes a service agreement for all the vehicles.
