Deliveries from Volvo Trucks between January and November 2000 totalled 74,432 trucks, distributed as follows:

The French company SNECMA Moteurs and Volvo Aero have signed a contract for manufacturing of the nozzle and liquid hydrogen (LH2) turbine for additional 4 Vulcain- and 19 Vulcain 2 engines. The contractual value is on the order of 20 M EURO (appr. 170 MSEK or USD 17M).

The US Air Force needs to replace its fleet of transport aircraft. The choice stands between a plan to install new engines in 126 Galaxy aircraft and the purchase of modern C17 Globemaster III aircraft.
