Volvo Aero is acquiring the company Aero-Craft outside Hartford, Connecticut, in the US. Aero-Craft has some 35 employees and sales of about USD 5 million.
Con-Way Transportation Services, Inc. has ordered 46 Volvo VN670s from Volvo Trucks North America. The VN670s will be the exclusive truck for its new Con-Way Truckload operation. Con-Way is one of the largest transportation and logistics companies in North America and is a new customer for Volvo Trucks North America, Inc.
Volvo Buses has received its largest ever individual order in Australia. The order from the State Transit Authority of New South Wales is for 180 bus chassis. All of these buses will operate in Sydney.
