Total deliveries of trucks from the Volvo Group's three truck companies increased 2% through May this year, compared with the year-earlier period.

The energy authorities in Sweden have now granted AB Volvo SEK 62 M in support for technical development of the third-generation DME engine for heavy vehicles during the period 2006-2010. AB Volvo's subsidiary Renault Trucks has signed a framework agreement on June 19 granting the GAZ Group of Russia to manufacture the Renault dCi 11 engine under licence.
