Volvo Treasury AB (publ) has decided to issue a SEK 600 million bond loan under its EMTN (Euro Medium Term Note) programme. The bond loan is issued on October 19th, 2007 with a maturity on April 19th, 2010 and has a floating three month interest rate.

Volvo hereby invites the media to a press conference on Wednesday, October 24 in conjunction with the release of the Volvo Group’s report on the third quarter 2007.

Rodman was one of the first boat builders in the world to adopt Volvo Penta’s IPS system. As early as in January, 2005, the company launched its 41-foot flybridge yacht with IPS. This pioneering spirit has paid off. Sales have grown considerably and today, the company has five models with IPS and has delivered more than 150 boats with the system to customers.

Pratt & Whitney has selected Volvo Aero to design and develop a new, lightweight turbine exhaust case (TEC) for the Engine Alliance GP7000 engine for Airbus’ new A380 jumbo jet. The agreement also anticipates that Volvo Aero will assume responsibility for manufacturing and product support for the TEC during the engine’s lifetime.

Volvo Trucks North America (VTNA) has delivered five Volvo trucks that meet the stringent US10 truck emission standards to customer for field testing. The US10 standard becomes effective in 2010 and the trucks now delivered are equipped with the EGR and SCR emission-control systems.

Volvo Trucks and Volvo Cars are participating today in a seminar in Moscow on traffic safety. The Transport Ministers of both Russia and Sweden are attending and the event is being organised by the Swedish Export Council in Russia.

Volvo’s 9700 tourist coach has been named “Coach of the Year 2008” by a jury consisting of leading European trade press journalists. The jury praised the 9700’s high level of passenger comfort and driving characteristics - “a super vehicle to drive”.

Total deliveries of trucks from the Volvo Group’s four truck companies through August this year amounted to 135,781, which is a decrease of 4%, compared with the year-earlier period. Deliveries from Nissan Diesel only include the period April to August 2007. Excluding Nissan Diesel, deliveries amounted to 119,109, a decrease by 16%, compared with the year-earlier period.

The Volvo Group can now present the first vehicle plant in the world that is completely free from carbon dioxide (CO2), Volvo Trucks’ plant in Ghent, Belgium. The Volvo Group’s efforts pertaining to CO2-free plants are fully in line with EU’s goal for reducing carbon-dioxide emissions by 20% in Europe by 2020.

Ingrid Skogsmo has been appointed new Vice President of AB Volvo’s strategy department. Skogsmo is currently director of Volvo Car Corporation’s Safety Center and will assume her new position on January 1, 2008.
