Volvo Treasury AB (publ) has decided to issue a EUR 80 million bond loan under its EMTN (Euro Medium Term Note) programme. The bond loan will be issued on November 29th, 2007 with a maturity on November 29th, 2010. The bond loan has a floating three month interest rate.

Volvo Technology Transfer AB is a new part-owner in El-forest AB, based in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden, and is thereby investing in the development of energy efficient and environmentally sound forestry machinery. The investment is part of the Volvo Group’s striving to strengthen its role as a leading supplier to the forestry industry.

Through the new software standard AUTOSAR (AUTomotive Open System ARchitecture), the Volvo Group will open up for new software suppliers. In addition to the traditional suppliers, independent and innovative software developers could become part of Volvo Group’s supplier base.

Volvo Treasury AB (publ) has decided to issue two SEK 500 million bond loans under its EMTN (Euro Medium Term Note) programme. The bond loans will be issued on November 26th, 2007 with a maturity on November 26th, 2009; one bond loan has a fixed interest rate and the other one has a floating three month interest rate.

Total deliveries of trucks from the Volvo Group’s four truck companies through October this year amounted to 185,048, which is an increase of 2%, compared with the year-earlier period. Deliveries from Nissan Diesel only include the period April to October 2007. Excluding Nissan Diesel, deliveries amounted to 157,031, a decrease by 13%, compared with the year-earlier period.

In a move that shows the growing importance in the Indian subcontinent, Volvo CE has chosen the EXCON exhibition in Bangalore to offer a glimpse of the Volvo branded Road Machinery products.

The Volvo Group has been chosen as Sweden’s most attractive employers by the country’s young engineers, according to Universum’s annual Career Barometer survey. Strong corporate culture and international career possibilities are factors differentiating the Volvo Group from other companies and which contribute to the Group’s top ranking.

During the third quarter, we experienced continued split development in our markets. Demand remained strong for the Volvo Group’s products and services in most of our markets in Europe, Asia and South America, while demand continued to be weak in North America.

Per Carlsson has been appointed new President and CEO of Volvo Trucks North America Division. Per Carlsson is today responsible for Volvo Powertrain Sweden and he will take up his new position on January 1, 2008.

With much pomp and ceremony, Volvo Buses’ President Håkan Karlsson received the impressive prize signifying that the Volvo 9700 was named Coach of the Year 2008. In his speech, Jury Chairman Stuart Jones praised the bus’s many positive features.
