Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks’ UK subsidiaries have, together with a number of other international truck companies, become the subject of an investigation initiated by the OFT (Office of Fair Trading), the British competition authority.

Total deliveries from the Volvo Group’s truck operations in August amounted to 11,482 vehicles. This was an increase of 62% compared with the year-earlier period.

The Chinese authorities have approved an agreement according to which Sinotruk (BVI) Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Corporation (CNHTC), and CNHTC will purchase all of the Volvo Group’s equity interest in Jinan Huawo Truck Corporation (Joint Venture). The Volvo Group’s holding amounted to 50% of the equity interest.

Volvo Buses has received an order for 1,000 Volvo B7RLE bus chassis to Panama City. Low fuel consumption and a high level of availability were decisive factors in the customer’s decision to purchase Volvo vehicles.

The Volvo Group's customer finance company, Volvo Financial Services (VFS), has signed an agreement with ORIX of Indonesia Finance (ORIF) to provide a comprehensive finance program for customers of the Volvo Group in Indonesia.
