Goods and food
In all probability, the food on your table was transported by a truck at some stage. This is the most common way to transport food in the world at present. In Europe, one third of all goods traffic on the roads involves the transport of food.
With its companies, Volvo Trucks and Renault Trucks, the Volvo Group has more than one million trucks in operation in Europe.
In Japan, UD Trucks’ trucks account for about 25 per cent of the market for heavy-duty and medium heavy-duty trucks, with the Quon model, while, in the USA, Mack Truck’s models, the Mack Pinnacle and Mack Titan, cover enormous distances on the North-American continent.
Small distribution vehicles normally take over when it comes to transporting food and goods to the shops in cities. The Volvo Group has several types of light-duty and medium-heavy truck, such as the Renault Master, UD Trucks’ Condor and Volvo Trucks’ Volvo FL.
