A fire engine has to be reliable. It cannot break down in the midst of a call-out. It also needs to have plenty of room for all the necessary equipment and it must also be able to get through narrow, congested streets swiftly and smoothly.

The Volvo Group collaborates with rescue services all over the world and builds trucks that are specially adapted for the fire service. They include the Renault Midlum and Volvo FH and FM.
