The Volvo diagonale stripe

What does the Volvo brand name stand for?

Three of the most valuable assets of Volvo are the Volvo symbols:

1) The name 'VOLVO' in the unique typeface is, still today, almost identical to the plate which were used on the radiator of the first Volvo vehicles in 1927. The word 'Volvo' is Latin and means 'I roll'.

2) The 'Iron Mark' goes back to the first year of Volvo automobile manufacturer, 1927

3) The diagonal is the most easily identifiable Volvo symbol, which has been used on most Volvo vehicles ever since the very first one, produced April 14, 1927.
