The mission of our company is to develop a lead in existing and future technology areas of high importance to Volvo. This means that we focus on both hard and soft projects within a system approach framework. Our customers include all Volvo Group companies and Volvo Cars but also some selected suppliers. We participate successfully in national and international research programmes involving universities, research institutes and other companies. Volvo Group Advanced Technology & Research is located at Lundbystrand and Chalmers Science Park in Göteborg and at Volvo's establishments in Lyon, France and Greensboro, USA.

Volvo Technology is the base for certain key expert functions of the Volvo Group
Every year a large number of inventors approach the Volvo Group with ideas and inventions. Our business areas are trucks, buses, construction equipment, marine, aero and finance. We do not deal with matters regarding passenger cars.
We often work at the forefront of science and technology together with international research institutes and universities. Many of our employees are engaged in proposing new projects together with our customers.
