How did you come to join Volvo 3P?
“I expressed an interest in working at AB Volvo in 1998 after completing my engineering studies at Chalmers University of Technology. Actually, I had considered continuing my studies for another year or so but I was offered a job as a designer for cab interiors at Volvo Trucks.”

“Soon after, I was given a project manager assignment for Volvo Truck’s anniversary model, after which I took on the role of team leader and worked for a few months in Japan. I came to Volvo 3P when the company was formed in 2001.”

“The following year, my family and I moved to Lyon in France, where I became a project manager for complete cabs. Those were four very enjoyable and intensive years.”

“After moving home again, I became a group manager and since May 2009, I have worked as Section Manager Cab Interior in Gothenburg.”

Tell us about your current role and its main responsibilities.
“My role as a section manager entails personnel responsibility for approximately forty people.”

“I have a management team consisting of three group managers and two team leaders and the most important part of my work is to ensure adequate resources for our tasks and to work with our strategies for the future: what do we want, where are we going and how will we get there?“

“We are a project-oriented organisation and our task at Cab Interior is to receive orders from the projects, interpret them, provide answers and to deliver what we have agreed on.”

How would you describe the culture at Volvo 3P?
“This is a global corporation. Our personnel are very engaged in their work and there is tremendous motivation and pride. It’s a wonderfully enjoyable organisation that also has the tough job of delivering competitive products to the various truck brands.”
