The department of Humans, Systems & Structures performs applied research and development with focus on developing the interaction between the user and the system in order to create safe, environmental friendly, efficient and satisfying products and services. We have competence in the areas of:

• human factors
• intelligent vehicle technologies
• mechanics and manufacturing
• environment and chemistry

Our main customers are the Volvo Group companies and Volvo Car Corporation.

We are involved in all stages of the technology development, from applied research to industrialization. The work is mainly carried out in projects together with Volvo Group companies and in national and international consortia.

The department is located at Lundbystrand and Chalmers Science Park in Göteborg and has staff at the Volvo Technology office in Lyon.
