This week, it’s time for Volvo In Golf’s third and most prestigious event of the year on the European Tour. The Volvo World Match Play Championship is now in its 50th year, and will be contested at one of the most spectacular new golf courses in the world, Thracian Cliffs in Bulgaria. With its elite field drawn from the best golfers around the globe, once again the focus will be on the Volvo brand and products.

The 19th Volvo China Open concluded at Tianjin Binhai Lake Golf Club as Australian Brett Rumford became the first golfer on the European Tour this season to win two weeks in a row.

The final pairing in the third round of the Volvo China Open teed off at lunchtime today with overnight leader Mikko Ilonen in a strong position. The Championship will be played at the breathtaking Thracian Cliffs Course in Bulgaria from the 16th to the 19th May, 2013.

The current huge interest in Chinese golf will reach another pinnacle during the upcoming National Open Championship, the 2nd-5th of May in Tianjin. China’s rising stars will take on a field of top international stars on home soil. 14-year-old Guan Tian-lang amazed the golfing world by making the cut at the Masters, and during the 19th Volvo China Open the world will be fascinated again by the young Chinese golf wonder.
