"It is fascinating to work with a company that is growing so strongly and which increased its sales from 70 trucks in 1999 to 4,700 in 2007. The Volvo brand is very strong in Russia, and working to maintain the brand's image and to increase customer loyalty in a fast-growing market is exciting," says Anastasia Mikheeva, Marketing Manager at Volvo Trucks in Russia.

The rapid economic development in Eastern Europe is evident in many locations. Construction cranes dot the city landscape almost everywhere you go. Private consumption is also increasing,
resulting in a greater need to transport goods. Efficient transport of goods and people is important for ensuring that economic growth will continue. Demands are increasing for a functional infrastructure with roads, bridges, railways, airports and harbors. Substantial investments are being made in expanding the road network with
transport routes that link east and west and north and south.

The Volvo Group's products and services play an important role when roads, bridges, tunnels and buildings are to be built. Equipment includes loaders, excavators and trucks for transports in
civil engineering projects, as well as generating equipment for power supplies. A functional infrastructure contributes to increasing welfare, and increased welfare in turn means that greater resources are created for infrastructure investments.
