Volvo and The European Tour today unveiled a new season starting tournament on the European Tour Schedule. The event, to be played at the Royal Golf Club in the Kingdom of Bahrain, will take place on January 27-30, 2011.

2011 Volvo World Match Play Championship
A new date is set for World Match Play Championship in 2011. The championsihp will be played on May 19-22, 2011, at Finca Cortesin Hotel, Golf and Spa on the Andalucian coast in Southern Spain.

Volvo China Open 2010
The 38-year-old from Yongin, Korea became the first ‘Major’ champion and the first Korean to win China’s national open golf championship.
“I am very happy and proud to win the Volvo China Open; any national open championship is special, but I feel very comfortable and welcome here in China and I will treasure this victory for a very long time,” said Yang, adding, “I would like to come back next year to defend my crown.”

Volvo Masters Amateur World Final 2009
Korean dentist Choul Hee-lee was crowned 2009 Volvo Masters Amateur champion of the world after a thrilling world final in Spain, the first player from his country to take the title.
“I am very proud to win the Volvo Masters Amateur World Final,” said the newly-crowned champion, adding, “It is a great honour for me and my family, for Volvo Cars Korea and for my country and I would like to say ‘thank you’ to Volvo and to my fellow competitors from all over the world.”

Fisher Lands Volvo World Match Play Championship 2009
