Arne Wittlöv appointed Executive Vice President of AB Volvo

Per-Erik Mohlin will resign as Executive Vice President and member of the Group Executive Committee of AB Volvo to take up a position outside the Volvo Group. He will leave his position on October 1, 1997.

Volvo Lastvagnar har ökat leveranstakten under året. T o m juli månad uppgår leveranserna till 37.114, vilket är samma nivå som motsvarande tid förra året. T o m juni månad i år låg leveranserna 5% under motsvarande period 1996.

145 medarbetare vid Volvo Aerogruppens båda företag i Arboga har tackat ja till erbjudandet om ny anställning vid Volvo Aero i Trollhättan.

Effective June 30, 1997, Sten Langenius is resigning his position as Executive Vice President of AB Volvo and a member of the Volvo Group Executive Committee, where he has served since January 1, 1990.

Volvo assumes full control of the common stock of its North American truck operations and at the same time Volvo GM Heavy Truck Corporation is changing its name to Volvo Trucks North America, Inc.
