COMPULSORY CERTIFICATION FOR AUTOMOTIVE COMPONENTS

In order to meet the requirements of the Ordinance nº 301 – INMETRO – National Institute of Metrology, Standardization and Industrial Quality - Volvo do Brazil informs that all suppliers must meet the new provisions established. The purpose is to regular the aftermarket automotive components with minimum safety requirements.

The Automotive Components covered by this Ordinance are: Suspension Dampers, Electric Fuel Pumps for Otto Cycle Engines, Horns or Similar Equipment or used in road automotive vehicles, Aluminium Alloy Pistons, Lock Rings and Pins (retention), piston Rings, Bearings and Bulbs for Automotive Vehicles, intended for the aftermarket, as defined in the annexes of the Requirements approved.
