Our organization:

Group Finance Business Office works to deliver on the overall strategy for finance, by focusing on becoming more data driven, accelerating digitalization, project execution and competence management within Finance. This work includes Finance Information Management & Data Governance, Core Finance Platforms, Consolidation & Financial Reporting Solutions, Business Support & Analytics CoE.

This is us, your new team:

The Finance Information Management and Data Governance Team oversees and drives the development of the finance information model for the Volvo Group. We work closely with companies across the Volvo Group and secure the quality and compliance of finance data through a robust data governance model. We are an international team that is passionate about working with data!

How you will make an impact:

As part of the ongoing digital transformation in Finance and the implementation of SAP’s S/4 Hana as the group common Finance platform, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the finance data governance model and data management processes.

The introduction of the new platform allows us to put focus on cleansing existing data and ensure high data quality from the start. Once live, your task will be to ensure that data quality remains high and previously defined rules for data governance are followed.

In addition, you will be working closely with our information architects to ensure that our finance information model is flexible, future proof and delivers the required information for the Volvo Group to comply with financial reporting requirements.

As a Finance Master Data Steward you will be part of a high paced team of colleagues, working cross-functionally and making an impact across the Volvo Group.

Who are you?

We are looking for a data enthusiast, that embraces the value of data and is passionate about making a difference. Just like us, you are a team player. You have a curious mind and a “can-do” attitude, leading through change with confidence.

Required knowledge/experience
  • A relevant BSc. or MSc. degree
  • Several years of experience working in finance and / or data governance and data management
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, managing stakeholders on various seniority levels, both within IT and the business
  • You work with a global mindset, thrive in complex environments and feel comfortable with ambiguity and challenging the status quo
  • Fluent in English, both speaking and writing
  • Previous experience of working with data management tools is a merit (Profisee, Informatica MDM, etc.)
  • A valid work permit for the country to which you apply (if not a citizen)
