Services Product Expert

Purpose:
The Services Product Expert ensures that the product lines meet customer needs as well as corporate objectives by anticipating the part life cycle and external environment analysis. In addition, they must ensure the execution of products’ marketing plan. They will also coordinate technical support requests for product lines.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain tools to ensure an adequate level of inventory to support customer demands (internal & external), while collaborating with the after-sales service departments.
  • Ensure inventory level of parts with a breakage rate greater than planned and remains adequate to support the demand.
  • Act as a Project Manager in product development projects.
  • Evaluate risks associated with product development, provide alternatives to meet aftermarket specifics, and expected results of products development.
  • Measure parts availability performance for the product range; take appropriate corrective action.
  • Coordinate and participate in the qualification tests of new products.
  • Ensure technical and legal endorsement, while preserving the brand image.
  • Analyze open orders, examine storage parameters, and suggest alternatives.
  • Validate and provide technical information for promotional or sales documents as part of the launch of new products.
  • Ensure documentation and training to sales teams and support them during market introduction.
  • Coordinate the launch of new sales programs.
  • Acts as technical coordinator for the projects of the service offers.
  • Participate in trade shows to analyze market trends and identify threats and opportunities to keep the product line competitive.
  • Identify potential synergies with VBC/ VTNA regarding purchasing and product development teams.
  • Advise internal and external clients on technical solutions to prevent/ resolve performance and use problems
  • Coordinate technical support requests with the product line engineers of our product lines.
  • Assist with quotes related to the repairs of wrecked vehicles.
  • Other duties as assigned


Education and Experience:
  • 5-10 years of experience in the automotive industry/ business development/ parts sales.
  • 4 year degree in engineering or business administration, or 5-10 years of experience related to the automotive industry or training deemed equivalent.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Technical ability to understand engineering drawings.
  • Intermediate knowledge of the MS Office suite and SAP.

  • Excellent written and verbal communications.
