Main Responsabilities:
  • Leading the accounting Team, driving engagement and actively promoting innovation, digitalization and processes
  • improvement in general;
  • Coordinating and supervising all accounting, tax and related activities and tasks (e.g. general ledger, accounts payables,
  • accounts receivables and collection, treasury, monthly closing and reporting, tax accomplishments, etc.) ensuring their
  • correctness, quality, timing and compliance with tax and legal regulations, accounting principles and Volvo directives, being
  • also an active performer;
  • Ensure the regular monitoring and reconciliation of all P&L, B/S and transitory accounts;
  • Ensure the Treasury Management and Banking Functions in accordance with legislative, regulatory and Volvo Treasury
  • requirements;
  • Ensure quality and timing of tax calculation, declaration and payment in coordination with external advisors;
  • Ensure the quality and timing of all activities related to the Transfer Pricing Policy applied by the company, in coordination with
  • Group Tax and external advisors;
  • Statutory financial statements preparation in coordination with external advisors;
  •  Management of corporate and accounting books, e.g. journal voucher, VAT;
  • Management of the relationship with external auditors and advisors and other main stakeholders;
  • Be one of the Key Leaders and reference members within the finance department and the main Speaking Partner in relation to accounting & tax matters within the organization;
  • Be one of the Key Users of the finance system and a Key Actor in the implementation of the new ERP system.
Requirements required:
  • University Degree in Business Administration, Finance or Economics;
  • Minimum 8-10 years of advanced experience in Accounting and Tax, preferably in local entities of multinational groups;
  • Former experiences in Audit and/or as Team Leader are considered an important plus;
  • Fluent in Italian and English both written and spoken;
  • High level of integrity and reliability; autonomous, rigorous, accurate and structured;
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting and Tax related matters;
  • Proven ability to manage resources, direct and indirect;
  • Analytical with continuous improvement mindset and ability to understand and challenge status quo;
  • Proactive with own drive, able to take action and solve problems;
  • Project management and organizational skills;
  • Good business understanding, customer focus and responsiveness;
  • Ability to work both independently as well as in team and to build relationships;
  • Very good knowledge of MS Office applications;
  • IDMS knowledge is considered a strong plus.
