Senior Manager, Sales and Operational Planning (S&OP)

Your position consists in ensuring that all Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) activities between factories in Europe and operations in China are run in the smoother and most efficient possible way.

Role description
Understand and communicate business needs

  • Attend regular meetings with sales regions, get market information and understand the business needs
  • Consolidate program demand based on commercial request, challenge and discuss it with commercial support to ensure the best possible quality of program request to be presented to Headquarter (HQ)
  • Monthly demand challenge meeting: present to HQ the China market situation and explain accurately our demand to get the best possible production program
  • Communicate regularly and efficiently with Sweden on current situation and on our needs
Support and improve order to delivery processes
  • Secure a smooth logistic chain from Order to Delivery to customer
  • Continuously track and secure quality of the orderbook
  • Track changes to existing orderbook, anticipate on potential impacts and act upon it proactively
  • Ensure that all necessary guarantees are in place prior to production and shipment
  • Track and communicate to sales regions production and vessel dates
  • Work closely with agents and vendors to continuously improve their support
  • Identify cost savings opportunities

Be an active part in a strategic Project Management Team
  • Support the TSP (Truck Sales Program) project implementation
  • Coordinate with different functions involved and organize meetings regularly based on the project roadmap
  • Monitor the project progresses weekly to ensure timely delivery and quality

Long term volume forecast (LTVF)
  • Prepare and align China LTVF with commercial and business strategy teams
  • Get approval from President and CFO prior to submitting to HQ
  • Join quarterly meetings with HQ for LTVF presentation

Lead the team (people manager)
  • Build a team spirit
  • Ensure good communication with commercial teams
  • Inspire team members to have a positive work attitude and a balance between professional and personal life through efficiency
  • Support team members in their career development
  • Maintain continuous opened communication with team members, ensuring alignment in terms of work delivery expectations and listening to their opinions and suggestions
  • University degree or appropriate academic qualification preferably within the field of logistics or international trade management (and Master degree as plus)
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, with minimum 5 years management experience in a global environment
