Technicial Trainer - 12 month FTC

We’re looking for a knowledgeable and passionate individual who wants to make a difference and knows how to support and work closely with a Dealer Network and internal colleagues to provide a first-class training experience, delivering training solutions aligned to business needs.
You will be a highly-motivated, curious individual with a can-do attitude, keen to continually learn and develop your own skills and knowledge to enable you to develop others in our Network and embrace new technology and ways of working as needed.

Based at our Warwick headquarters, you will be part of passionate Competence Development team reporting to the Technical Academy Manager to support the delivery of our technical training offer for technicians working in Renault Trucks Dealer Network in the UK & Ireland.

This is an exciting role focused on helping our Network build and develop their teams to ensure that they have highly-skilled and competent people in their workshops aligned to their business needs. You will also be responsible for keeping the Network up-to-date with the latest innovations in our trucks and LCV range including our electromobility offer.

Your responsibilities will include designing and delivering high quality materials and solutions tailored to the Network’s needs to support Renault Trucks priorities and initiatives. This will include:-
  1. Delivering workshop training events as required as per the Renault Trucks Training Plan including customer and apprentice training.
  2. Ensuring evaluation of training is carried out in a timely manner and embedment activities deployed to support knowledge implementation.
  3. Ensuring training solutions are delivered in a professional, effective and timely manner.
  4. Developing tools to support the development of competence on the job
  5. Being responsible for the health and safety and the general conduct of attendees during training courses.
  6. Supporting the Technical Academy Manager in identifying gaps in the training offering and developing plans to improve and overcome.

Key Skills / Competencies:
  • Excellent presentation skills and ability to deliver engaging training sessions
  • Ability to create and update training materials
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing
  • Strong IT skills – good knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes
  • Self-Starter and ability to work using own initiative.
  • Adaptable and able to embrace change
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of the business
  • The successful candidate must have a strong technical background with HGV technical experience.
  • You must be comfortable leading a group of people and be happy to deliver presentations.
  • Have an awareness of learning best practice and experience of a blended learning approach including delivering on-line training sessions

Education / Professional Qualifications required for the position:
  • Master Technician Level 4 and experience of working in a dealer setting
  • Knowledge of Workshop IT systems (preferably RTDMS) or similar
  • Previous training experience
  • Ideally CertEd qualified / PGCE or willing to work towards this
You will take pride in delivering training to a high standard at all times and will be an ambassador for the Renault Trucks brand working closely with other trainers both in the UK and at Renault HQ in France to deliver the best learning experience possible.
