We are seeking our new Head of Business Control Purchasing North America within Volvo Group Trucks, who will lead a global team of 6-7 Business Controllers. You will also serve as the finance business partner to the Head of Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) North America and Volvo & Mack North America for monthly performance reviews and estimates.

What You Will Be Doing

Group Trucks Purchasing Business Control is a global team with presence in Sweden, France, India, China, US, and Brazil. We work close to the purchasing organization, but independent. As business controllers, we are recognized as purchasing finance advisors, business co-drivers, and we are also responsible for securing compliance in our financial transactions. We drive finance transformation by continuous improvements, digitalization, and innovation. We value teamwork and collaboration, as well as a respectful and fun work environment.

You will report to the Global Head of Group Trucks Purchasing Business Control, and will be based out of Greensboro, NC.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Global Cashflow and Services, Digital, and Investments (indirect purchasing) controlling function
  • Drive and follow up of Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing KPI’s regarding cashflow and payment terms as well as Services, Digital, and Investments area
  • Responsible for the Business Plan and Estimate process within cashflow and payment terms as well as Services, Digital, and Investments area
  • Responsible for the development and continuous improvement of global financial Ways of Working (WoW) and processes within your area
  • Secure and further develop high competence levels within your team to achieve departmental targets in terms of deliveries and contribution
  • Drive and foster a holistic, bottom-line mindset
  • Drive and develop cross-functional collaboration with other line organizations involved in Raw Material areas
  • Serve as an active member of the Group Trucks Purchasing North America and global Controlling management teams

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar Business Control, people-leadership position
  • Manufacturing industry background
  • Ability to build an international and cross-functional network
