This is us, your new colleaguesEES (Embedded Electronic System) is looking for an additional team player. We are a diverse group of engineers where one of our main responsibilities is to test and verify machine functionality. EES provide the building blocks for the complete Volvo CE machine range, from Wheel loaders to Excavators. Our job is to make sure that our software has the highest quality we can achieve. In this VIE position, you will also be part of the Compact Excavator team, contributing to deliver embedded software solutions according to customer expectations.
We do this together, mainly in agile way of working, by supporting both large and small projects with planning and implementation of the embedded software development activities such as: requirement review, software development and integration onto the platform, software release and define, plan execute and report test case (unitary tests, integration tests).
We are in an exciting journey with disruptive technology shifts such as Electromobility, Automation and Connectivity and we need to support them all. This means that we will support each of these new groundbreaking technologies and Embedded systems for our machine projects, every step of the way.
Who are you, our new colleague?We believe that you have the drive and passion to take an independent and active role in our software Quality Assurance activities. You do not hesitate in taking a hands-on approach to all test aspects. You strive for improvements and finding new ways of working. You contribute to the team to find new solutions and the best way forward to support our activities and projects. Therefor you have good communication skills and are used to work in teams. Any experience in an agile way of working (SCRUM, KANBAN etc.) is beneficial.
You have at least Bachelor’s degree in Embedded systems and/or Software development or equivalent experience within those areas. You also have some experience working with Embedded systems and programming with Python, C/C++ or similar.
The team is international, so you need to be fluent in English. Positive if you have some Swedish language skills or want to learn.
