Every year we look for a new generation of OT Security Specialists - students and graduates, who are eager to join us for an internship - Drive IT with Volvo WORK&STUDY. With the support of a mentor, you have a chance to learn and contribute to IT projects and teams. You can begin your career with Volvo Group IT and get to know us better. 

Who are We
With Enterprise IT Security you will be part of Group Digital & IT. A global and diverse team of highly skilled professionals who work with passion, trust each other, and embrace change to stay ahead.

Who we are looking for
  • You are a student in your 3rd, 4th or 5th year of study, or you have recently graduated.
  • You are available as of January 2024.
  • You communicate in English.
  • You do something more than only studying and taking part in security related activities (OT security, ethical hacking, security research, software development, etc).
  • You are a student who is eager to learn how to work with security technologies, information security, industrial control systems (ICS) & operational technology (OT).

  • We prefer internship to be undertaken in hybrid model of work (flexible office/home agreement).

What would be your activities?
With support from mentor and hand in hand with senior colleagues:
  • OT Security Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive OT security strategies aligned with industry best practices and standards.
  • Risk Assessment: Identify and assess potential risks to OT systems and assets, and develop robust mitigation plans.
  • Security Policies: Define and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards tailored to OT environments.
  • Incident Response: Take the lead in incident response efforts in case of security breaches, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
  • Vulnerability Management: Continuously monitor OT systems for vulnerabilities and weaknesses, implementing patching and remediation as necessary.
  • Security Awareness: Cultivate a culture of cybersecurity awareness within the OT staff and provide training on security best practices.
  • Security Auditing and Compliance: Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging OT security technologies and make recommendations for their adoption to enhance our security posture.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, to align OT security efforts with broader organizational security objectives.
