Application Support Specialist for Volvo Penta CPQ

Role mission:
As an Application Support Specialist you play an important role to support our users and contribute into improvements planned for our solution. You will be the part of the product team and work closely with software and solution engineers. You will also cooperate with engineers from other product teams in resolving arising issues.

Project description:
Volvo Penta CPQ is a sales support tool for sales configurations, pricing, quotation and ordering a product. It contributes to Volvo Penta's electromobility ambition towards electric and hybrid product range. It's a data driven system that enables to sale services and other advanced systems from Volvo Penta offer. CPQ stable team has full ownership over a product during its lifecycle including maintenance and enhancements.

The key responsibilities are
  • Securing service availability by analysing and resolving incidents
  • Identifying bugs and potential solutions
  • Monitoring applications
  • Facilitating code release or deployments
  • Contribute to application maintenance and enhancement activities, automation and increased efficiency
  • Securing knowledge sharing and documentation
  • Working with local partners and suppliers to ensure a stable delivery

Required Knowledge and Experience
  • You should have a master’s degree within Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar
  • Be skilled in managing communication with multiple stakeholders both internal and external

Technical experience:
  • Support and troubleshooting
  • Application administration or maintenance,
  • Working in multiapplication environment
  • Knowledge in scripting and log analysis
  • Basic Programming skills in .NET, .NET Core, C# , Python or PowerShell scripting
  • SQL DB and/or nonSQL DB
  • IBM Websphere queues
  • XML, XSLT, JSON
  • Network infrastructure knowledge
  • Working on cloud (Azure)

Would be an advantage:
  • Experience of using Visual Studio / Visual studio code with Git/Github
  • Working experience with API platforms like Postman or Insomnia
  • Testing experience
  • DevSecOps
