Sales Support Specialist - Marine
You will be responsible for all Marine related administration, for the ordering of Volvo Penta engines and ancillary products, ensuring deadlines are met for key accounts and the Dealer network.
This will include supporting internal sales teams, Dealer Centres and key accounts including systems development, testing and training. Issuing standard management information reports and developing adhoc reports as required.
Utilising internal systems, you will complete engine order entry, ensuring contract details are met in full (engine quantity, type, specification, delivery time, commercial terms) and liaise with end Customer, Technical Team and the wider Penta team to initiate any forward planning required to meet the order requirements.
You will maintain the purchase order process to ensure all equipment is available to meet the required delivery date, liaise with workshops where necessary. Raise and progress/chase orders from factory, stock and any UK suppliers
You will monitor stock to allocate available engines to fulfil standard customer orders and urgent orders and maintain low inventory levels.
You will respond to quotation requests and customer enquiries relating to both commercial and technical issues.
Raise and check invoices and credit notes for accuracy before issuing to customers.
Ensure deliveries are made in accordance with customer expectations and ensure that discrepancies and damage are reported correctly and claims are submitted within deadlines.
Check prices, monitor discounts and maintain customer records to ensure adherence with pricing policy and audit requirements.
Update monthly order forecasts and statistical sales information. Provide reports as and when required utilising appropriate IT tools and systems.
To provide training and support to the Dealer Centres and OEM’s for sales systems and processes
Provide back up support for Industrial Engine order processing.
This role may require assistance with setting up exhibition stands and weekend working.
WHO ARE YOU?
Experienced in the Sales process from quotation to delivery
Knowledge of engines or mechanical engineering is advantageous
