Who are we?
Electrical & Electronics and Vehicle Connectivity Gothenburg (EEVC) are responsible to deliver the Volvo Truck Heavy Duty (VT HD) truck models FH, FM & FMX, aimed for the European market. EEVC owns the electrical, electronics and vehicle connectivity roadmap for VT HD and is the main interface between our customer Volvo Truck Corporation (VTC) and the development organization. EEVC’s task is to deliver trucks according to market's needs.
The Vehicle Application team is a new team that will ramp up during the fall. The responsibilities of the team are ownership for VT HD EUFs (End User Function), ECUs (Electronic Control Unit) and will be the interface between VTC/GTO (Group Trucks Operations) and the development organizations. Our tasks are to define and validate that all releases are done with a high quality.
Your role in our team
We are now looking for Application Engineers for the Vehicle Application team. You will work within a cross functional team that secure a high quality on the VT HD deliveries.
The Application engineers main responsibilities are ownership of EUF's and ECUs, lead/drive work a cross development organizations, define EUFs for VT HD, define need of verification for certain EUFs, approve implemented EUFs at system demo, configure ECU parameters for customer needs, support fault tracing and be the speaking partner to the Validation team etc. In short, you will be a key player in shaping the future EEVC Vehicle Application team!
Who are you?
You have experience of AB Volvo Trucks electrical system and functions, experience as system or technical lead and experience of working with requirement or verification in automotive industry. You also have a MSc in Engineering or equivalent education/experience and you have good communication skills in English, both spoken and written.
We consider experience from function development or hands on work with the truck to be merits. We also see experience of embedded software development or Verification & Validation in automotive industry to be beneficial. Truck driving license and truck market knowledge is also qualifying.
As Application Engineer you must be able to drive your responsibility area to closure on time and be able to work independently and with integrity. You should have an open multi-cultural mind-set as we work globally and be a network builder. We expect you to enjoy working in teams and to be innovative, creative and persistent.
