Volvo Group Trucks Technology – Powertrain Engineering is the global, strategic center for powertrain development within the Volvo Group. In Powertrain engineering we are looking for a Global Component Responsible, GCR, to work with Air components and lead one of our Agile Teams. You will be part of the Air and Gas Management group in Combustion department. The group is responsible to develop sub systems for engine’s Air and Gas system for the heavy-duty engine platform.
ROLE DESCRIPTION
As GCR for Air components you will lead development of Air valves and connected pipes globally. As a GCR you are responsible for the complete lifecycle of the different components on our heavy duty engine platform.
We think teamwork and collaboration create both an attractive workplace and great products. We work in teams with common planning and cadence. You will be the leader of the team with responsibility to coordinate planning, workload and deliveries.
WHO ARE YOU?
To succeed and have fun in the position we believe you are knowledgeable in component development and preferably engine development. It's important to be self-motivated and a self-starter. If you are missing requirements or directives, we expect you to develop it and proceed. We believe you enjoy working together with different stakeholders and can take the lead.
  • At least B.Sc. or similar technical knowledge.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in product development, preferable HW component development
  • Knowledge in Agile SAFe methods and the tool JIRA is a merit
