Position is responsible for the program planning process for the New River Valley Volvo Plant, working in conjunction multiple departments to formulate the best program response to maximize productivity while supporting Commercial requests.
Support program response by updating all systems requirements for capacity and forecast planning.
Works with Commercial personnel to ensure that customer's orders are slotted as close to requested build date, as possible.
Provides an interface among production, material, and the line schedule to ensure that orders are released on or before the targets established by Management, so that material will be available for line installation.
Supports the efforts of the Outbound Coordinator and Production to assure the one time delivery of the unit to the end customer while upholding factory constraints and requirements.
Global KPI: Delivery Precision to ensure customer receives unit, as requested.
Provides information to production and plant management so they will be aware of present and potential problems in order that schedule changes can be made as necessary.
Provides oversight and coordination with the Customer Engineering and Sales Engineering teams to better support Customer needs while upholding all Factory restrictions and requests.
Maintains and distributes paint charts to the required production areas in a timely manner.
Provides information to Staff on Global KPI SSAR (Schedule Sequence Adherence Ratio); the frequency in with the factory does not hold to the Master Schedule the team has established.
Maintains plant master production schedules with interface of Sales, Engineering, Materials, Product Engineering and Production.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field in addition to Four (4) years of related experience
- Eight (8) years of related experience with at least One (1) year in Materials Floor related experience
- Knowledge of Volvo product manufacturing
- Lean Manufacturing knowledge and techniques
- Microsoft Office experience
