Part I: The Project
Internship proposal: Business Development Intern
Reporting to : Global Customer Solutions Manager
Purpose of the job:
The Volvo CE Customer Solutions Department operates in a quickly changing environment in which we are continuously improving and developing strategies to meet the company’s goals and our customers’ needs. We are looking for an intern to support us with ongoing aftersales & services initiatives.
You will be part of the Volvo CE Customer Solutions Business Development team, reporting to the Global Customer Solutions Manager. The Business Development Management team follows up on all Services and Aftersales projects, as well as the go-to-market strategies for Volvo Services.
Main activities and responsibilities:
  • Benchmark online information, and present findings with creative PowerPoints.
  • Analyze data and present findings.
  • Reach out to departments in all 4 global regions to capture input and share output.
  • Coordinate and support on ad hoc tasks.
  • Take ownership of assigned activities.
Part II: The Student
Skills & experience:
  • Good level of knowledge of PowerPoint, with a high level of creativity to build interactive slides.
  • Good analytical skills and knowledge of Excel (including Vlookup and SUMIFs function) with a strong willingness to learn by doing.
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to project needs.
  • Strong overall affinity with internet technology.
  • Strong interest in Business Development and Aftersales Strategies.
  • Have had at least one previous internship or work experience.
  • Strong interest in working in an international environment.
  • Team player with open and positive attitude.
  • Proactive with internal drive to find tasks and identify ways to add value to the team.

Personal qualifications:
  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree (minimum last year bachelor)
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English language

Duration & Start:
  • Preferred starting date: January/February
  • Duration: minimum 6 months
