The Uptime & Retail team is a diverse group of passionate and driven individuals responsible to develop the brand, market share and improve customer satisfaction in all UD markets outside of Japan. We do this by excelling on the essentials and developing differentiated service offerings and solutions delivered through a largely private retail network.
Role description
  • Drive the commercial services offer to meet UD Trucks International Sales rapid growth ambitions including sales volumes, gross profit and customer satisfaction
  • Develop, pilot and implement new services to support customer’s ever changing needs
  • Set the commercial offer wanted position for UDIS and align with each hub/market
  • Support each hub/market in execution of their respective business plans to secure sales volume and profit targets through maximised parts penetration
  • Ensure complete understanding and effective use of the Aftermarket Potential Tool (AMPT) to develop sales growth
  • Define, develop and implement genuine parts, service and extended offers
  • Work with market companies to create annual marketing and business development plans securing implementation and follow-up
  • Secure high level of parts availability in the dealer network and drive the implementation of LPA
  • Implement strong price management to maximise sales volume and profitability across markets
  • Responsible for business analysis, price management and market intelligence procedures including bench marking
  • Expand the UD Trust service agreement portfolio in existing and new markets and secure correct management through required tools, systems and processes
  • Secure required commercial and selling skills in our markets, importers and dealers through continual coaching and with support from CD organisation
  • Ensure current and future offer is implemented in all markets including: UD Genuine Parts, UD Genuine Lubricants, UD Trust Service Agreements, UD Mobile Workshop, and UD Road Support
  • Manage commercial projects and secure market release criteria for future product introduction
  • Build a strong commercial network and customer first mindset across UDIS hubs/markets
  • Act as main interface for uptime and retail commercial related matters with other organizations and towards hubs/markets

Required knowledge/experience
  • As we are a truly global and diverse company, your meetings and emails will be in English, hence you need to be fluent in both speaking and writing in English.
  • You will have an eye for detail, a sound financial understanding and experience in developing marketing and pricing strategies and service agreement management
  • Ideally you will have a minimum of 10 years’ management experience in the truck Aftermarket arena preferably with market and/or dealer exposure
  • You are adaptable and respectful of all cultures and have the ability to drive a wide range of diverse issues across varying levels of market maturity
