The challenge is then to structure your segment and operate the business in the way which is efficient for the time to market and in that way, bring high value and innovative solutions to the end customers!

You will have near colleagues working spread across the world and work in different networks, teams and groups. You will be part of the Adaptation Parts EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa) team, daily work in a dynamic and integrated European team located in Gothenburg and Lyon and become a key player in the Uptime, Adaptation and Synergies team.
Uptime, Adaptation and Synergies is a global organization within Group Trucks Purchasing (GTP) who support Service Parts Purchasing, Vehicle Adaptation Purchasing and aim at building strong purchasing synergies amongst the various Purchasing organizations of Volvo Group.
This is your mission
You will be leading the purchasing activities on your scope with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure the customers maximum satisfaction.
That means that you will secure delivery of the projects you will lead within more challenging planning than regular production vehicle project; scout and seek for the best suppliers plus bring creative and innovative solutions. You will have the challenge, source and create the ad hoc supplier base . You will also lead the negotiations and in order to secure the best QDCF-TSRP performance and perform purchasing activities related to ordering, logistics and financial flows to the suppliers.
Your work will affect directly our customers satisfaction since through part of your scope you will have the chance to work on the flag-products of our truck brands.
Your portfolio will be: Sheet metal, BIW and CNG parts.

We also believe that you have:
  • Master degree in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Industrial Engineering or related field
  • 4 years’ experience of buyer experience, automotive is a plus
  • Experience in project and sourcing management
  • High effective written and verbal communication (English)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Perseverance, energy and a drive to improve
  • Extensive experience negotiating and interacting with suppliers
  • Willingness to travel from occasionally to frequently based on ongoing activities

This is a 7 months contract from 01/03/2020 to 01/10/2020
