Group Manager Project Management Order Office: Cab Engineering N.A.

The Project Management Order Office group is responsible for securing all project deliveries within Cab Engineering in North America according to the defined vehicle architecture and platform direction. The Group Manager is responsible for the staff, budget, and technical development for the Vehicle Cap Group in North America. Manage the budget for Volvo Group Cab North America and work with Vehicle Development and business control to provide a group budgeting forecasting. Manage cab review meetings and represent Volvo Group Cab Group in local and global meetings. Accountable for the delivery of all North American cab project activities on time and according to budget with full Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Feature. Manage the Project Management Office deliveries respecting budget, delivery time, and quality and manage and oversee quality initiatives and work with counterparts to prepare risk mitigation plans when needed. Ensure that all team members have adequate training and knowledge to complete their assigned tasks and manage headcount analyses and work package strategy in coordination with all sites when needed. Responsible for driving ISO 26262 compliance with Cab engineering and supporting the end-to-end mindset. Support Volvo Group continuous improvement initiatives including knowledge management.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIRMENTS: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of Cab engineering experience.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Demonstrated Project Management experience, PMP Certification preferred. Prior experience with functional safety standard and ISO26262. Integrated working knowledge of cab geometric architecture. Prior product development experience working with key BIW (Body-In White) components. Occasional travel to Volvo manufacturing plants required.
