Fleet Maintenance Manager

Purpose of Position:
Provide fleet maintenance management for select customers who require centralized fleet maintenance management. Provide specialized support for Mack and Volvo Truck customers using state-of-the-art telematics tools. Position will be a key contributor to supporting premium preventative maintenance programs, service contracts, lease & rental contracts, and new products being developed
Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor service status in real time (via Connected Vehicle Maintenance Platform) to assist in prioritizing and assigning customer fleet preventative maintenance with dealers

  • Monitor fault alert details to minimize unscheduled repairs and breakdowns. Help optimize scheduled maintenance by incorporating, if applicable, outstanding campaigns or recalls and coordinate unscheduled maintenance to maximize vehicle uptime.

  • Collaborate & coordinate customer support activities across Volvo Truck & Mack to ensure a cohesive customer experience.

  • Understand the Premium Maintenance program to assure cost effective maintenance for our customers

  • Follow up with the servicing dealers to ensure the proper repairs and maintenance is completed in a timely manner

  • Review repair estimates (where necessary) with the truck’s maintenance history to ensure only the appropriate repairs are completed

  • Communicate and build a relationship with the customer’s fleet management team to resolve issues

  • Become a subject matter expert for the Connected Vehicle Maintenance Platform and assist dealers on how to use the platform

  • Identify and/or lead continuous improvement activities as it relates to centralized fleet management services.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by my manager or management

Essential Educational and/or Training Qualifications and Certificates:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field, MBA preferred.

  • Master Certification

Required Experience and Knowledge:

  • 3-5 years’ experience in commercial vehicles industry or related business

  • Previous service and maintenance experience preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Occasional travel required
