VV - Material Planner

The Continental Material Planner mission is to ensure that the supplier portfolio delivers in accordance with Volvo Group Logistics requirements and to escalate to the relevant party when a deviation occurs.
You will be responsible for :
•Parts availability at warehouses for brands: Renault Trucks, Volvo Trucks, Volvo Buses, Volvo Construction Equipment, Volvo Penta
•Ensure and develop Supplier delivery performance
•Act on deviations by following the escalation process
•Optimize delivery schedules
•Optimize inventory levels at warehouses
•Actively participate in improving the material planning process
• University degree in logistics or experience equivalent to the same knowledge level
• Good knowledge of the total supply chain (from supplier to customer)
• Action driven and efficient with a great personal drive
• Excellent communication (a lot of communication over the phone with suppliers and stakeholders is to be expected) and negotiation skills
• English fluently spoken and written. Additional languages are considered as a merit
• Experience from close cooperation with suppliers
• Experience in stock management systems
• Experience from production planning/material control
• Strong team player and networker
This is a temporary position, starting 02/05- 31/08
