Group IT within Volvo Group has an end-to-end responsibility for all development, delivery and support of IT solutions for the Volvo Group
Solution Delivery Unit Commercial Solutions
We are a unit within Group IT with approximately 1600 people having full responsibility to manage the evolution of all the commercial solutions used by the truck brands and that are common for the Volvo Group. Commercial Solutions work in close cooperation with all truck brands in the Volvo Group like Volvo Trucks, Renault Trucks, Mack Trucks, UD Trucks, Group Trucks Asia & Joint Ventures as well as Volvo Financial Services.
Solution Center Mack and Volvo Trucks Americas
The Solution Center Mack and Volvo Trucks Americas is responsible for securing runtime and the delivery of local solutions in North and Latin America. The Solution Center is also responsible for local rollout and integration of global solutions. The team is located in several sites in US, Brazil and Poland
Role mission & context
You will drive the organization thru line management in North and South America and be fully responsible for one time and runtime deliveries. You will be the SPOC for Group IT for Mack and Volvo Truck North America and part of the Process and IT North America extended management team.
In this role you will also act as host manager for Group IT in North America and be part of the extended executive management team of Group IT. The Host manager in a country is the interface to the legal company and consequently the entry point for various matters in regards to usage of premises, security, legal and union related activities as well as salary negotiations.
You will lead and coach others and build a strong and communicative team. You will lead the team to success, nurture relationships with key stakeholders as well as delivering word-class support to users. Additionally, you thrive in a dynamic high pace, multicultural, fast shifting and never boring environment!
Key responsibilities
• Build, manage, and retain relationship with business stakeholders
• Responsible for runtime delivery
o Manage the full life-cycle of the solutions
o Manage and report runtime costs and service levels
o Ensure and drive E2E delivery and support, drive the key-users network, develop training material
o Proactively drive runtime costs reductions and continuous improvements
• Actively contribute in Long term Planning and Solution Roadmap development
o Participate in strategic dialogue with Mack and Volvo Truck Americas
o Create, maintain and execute the solution roadmaps consistent with BSPM sub-portfolio roadmap
• Responsible for onetime delivery
o Represent the Solution Delivery Unit in project Steering Committee
o Set-up project structure, drive execution and manage and reports onetime costs and quality KPIs
• Set up and optimize delivery structure, maintenance and support organization
• Secure capacity and competence development to support the solution roadmap overall, including vendor management and external sourcing of work packages
• Drive definition and execution of the Unit Plan for the Solution Center
o Promote and champion innovation
o Promote continuous improvement mindset in the team
• HMT mandate covers HR, communication, legal, and practical matters specific to the site

As Director Mack and Volvo Trucks Americas, you will have the following authority:
• Staffing of the delivery team
• Solution design, development and integration within the appointed/emerging portfolio
• Accountable for make/buy decisions and partner selection (in dialogue with Purchasing) as relates to sourcing of IT work packages

Wanted profile
As Director, you need to have the ability to manage change and steer your organization in line with the given targets. You have proven experience as a leader in senior positions and excel in demonstrating core values according to the Volvo Way.
You will need to have a delivery and can do mind set. You are used to dealing with ambiguity and have a structured and analytical approach towards tackling challenges, handling various issues and are comfortable driving change in an inspiring, communicative and autonomous way, always focusing speed of execution.
Since you are part of a global unit, with global responsibilities, you will need to actively cooperate with various stakeholders and navigate with ease in a multi-cultural environment. It is important you have an innovative and creative mind-set in order to inspire and challenge in your organization. You also have a strong quality focus and a personal drive to reach the objectives and targets set for your unit, understanding how these contribute to the Volvo Group vision and strategy.

Required competencies
•Relevant university degree
•Minimum five years of senior management experience
•Genuine interest for developing and coaching people
•Ability to create structure in a complex environment, with a holistic and lean approach
•Experience from working in a IT delivery organization (project, runtime) including solid knowledge about methods used
•Experience from leading in a global context
•Excellent communication & presentation skills is a requirement.
•Complete proficiency in English is a requirement
