Apprenticeship Bac+4/5 Embedded Software Developer H/F

Do you love embedded systems and want to be part of their development? Do you also believe embedded software enables a lot of new features that bring value to the transport solutions? Or you may just want to reduce the environmental impact from the transport industry? No matter what fuels your passion we are sure you will find a challenging future with us!

By joining the elecrical platform SW team, you will work in an agile environment and have the opportunity to learn and contribute to the development of the platform software used in most in house Powertrains within the Volvo Group.

The platform software provides a large set of generic software services, like electronic hardware abstraction layer, central diagnostic functions, complex drivers and various communication tasks. The development is targeting modern Powertrain multi core electronic controllers as well as the maintenance of our legacy products.
The team operates in all development phases, from specification to final verification utilizing continuous integration including an automated regression tests framework which allows fast feedbacks and short development loops. This will enable you to get various time-boxed topics, from pure technical and independent one to more cross functional topics to be carried all along your apprenticeship.
The team is located in Lyon (France) and you will continuously be collaborating with our colleagues on the main sites such as Goteborg (Sweden), Hagerstown (USA), Curitiba (Brazil), Ageo (Japan).
