  • Controlling and analysis
Main Tasks/ Responsibilities/ Authorities
  • Responsible for analysis, reporting and communication of the financial results for area (plan, forecast and actual results)
  • Responsible for tracking, analysing, and reporting manufacturing productivity on a weekly basis while proactively looking for opportunities in the manufacturing process to reduce costs
  • Work closely with production unit management to develop and present business strategy, budget and forecast, and to improve understanding of the financial business drivers
    • Provide financial support for standard kaizens inclulding financial vaildation and sign off upon completion including investment request inititation, monitoring and follow-up
    • Lead and manage all production financial forecasting and budgeting activity which includes production spending, absorption, productivity, variances, capital spending, and inventory (WIP)
    • Serve as the financial partner in determining financial targets
    • Responsible for closing activities
    • Participate in ad-hoc projects and prepare various ad-hoc reports
    • General understanding of the 4C full financial tools
    • Leading and participating in projects/teams that are geared towards reducing waste
    • Contribute to increase the efficiency by simplifying and developing financial issues
    • Increase automation of all processes
    • Ensure internal controls are maintained and compliance to FPP and other accounting directives
    • Provide “Early Warnings” and “No Surprises” – monitor performance and trend analysis of operating results and business plans
    • Understand/Support Total Business – “Be in the Business”
    • Develop cross-functional business relationships and network with sales region, technology, and other global organizations

Required knowledge & experience:
Education/ Professional Qualifications required for the position
  • 3 to 5 years experience with management accounting
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA helpful
  • CMA or CPA Preferred
  • Experience in related areas such as accounting in a manufacturing company is preferred
Additional Important Requirements:
  • Some successful work experience in the field of Accounting, Internal Controls, Cost Accounting, and/or Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Experience in working with Financial Applications of ERP system is an asset
  • High level of personal and professional integrity
  • Quick, crisp and analytical mind and acute, highly developed judgment skills
  • Ability to formulate, communicate and present ideas with self-confidence
  • Highly responsive, client service orientation and demonstrated hands-on approach
