Specialist Quality Preparation
Volvo GTO in Köping is looking for a talent to lead the work in the “In-line Verification”-team. To be able to achieve our goal of becoming the best transmission factory in the world, we need world class employees.
With increasing demands on the products and the production processes comes the need to increase the capabilities to verify the quality in the production process. Volvo GTO in Köping will strengthen our Machining Engineering team with a “Specialist Quality Preparation”.
You will be a member of the Machining Engineering department. The department consists of about 50 engineers and technicians. Our area of responsibility is to prepare and industrialize new components and processes, refine existing components, maintain and if needed extend the installed capacity. The area is also responsible for technical support and continuous improvements that can be divided into reactive and proactive problem solving.
Main areas of responsibility
You will as a Specialist Quality Preparation work in both local and global projects. Your role in projects can be e.g. project manager or specialist with the responsibility to find and develop technical solutions. You will also be a member, and sometimes a leader of internal and external network and participate in development projects with other companies and Universities.
- Set “In-line” production measurement strategies (Technology Road Map)
- Ensure compliance to in-line production measurement strategies and internal and external standards and requirements
- Train and coach the organization within the area of responsibility
- Ensure installed capacity within the area of dimensional measurements
- Responsible for acquisition of measuring machines
Personal profile and qualifications
For this position, we see that you have the following qualifications and skills:
- M.Sc. within the area of Engineering or Quality Assurance with a strong technical interest
- Experience of industrial engineering work
- Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) in both Swedish and English
- Good leadership abilities
